What the World is Made Of
2005
U. of Maine, Chemistry Building
There is a mural on the the lobby wall with a diagram of materials and elements. All over the building, small square pieces of the materials of the building, including walls, objects, furniture, etc, are cut out and replaced with a small plaque with the chemical description of that material. The material squares themselves are placed in the mural and connected chemically to the other materials based on the elements and molecules they have in common.
